WIPO is another UN-organization where questions of great developmental import are discussed. For the discussion of questions concerning genetic resources there is the Intergovernmental Committee on Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC GRTKF) and also the Working Group on the Reform of the PCT. The Working Group for a Development Agenda is examining the utility of patent protection for a country’s development.
