Sport
Companies like Adidas, Nike, Puma, and Reebok are beginning to cooperate with trade unions and NGOs to implement internationally accepted social standards. These companies had been specifically targeted by public campaigns. But the measures taken so far are having a very limited effect as long as smaller sports apparel companies like fila, umbro, Asics, Mizuno, Ltto, and Kappa are not doing anything to improve their working conditions. The social dumping of one producer subverts the good practices of another. In order to improve working conditions across the entire sports apparel industry, an industry-wide action plan is needed.
